Here is a step-by-step guide on how to become a lawyer. It will guide you through the studies you’ll have to do.

Firstly to become you’ll have to complete an undergraduate degree. You don’t have to complete a law degree, but if you choose to you won’t have to study for Graduate diploma in Law. Legal careers are fairly competitive so it is important you get good grades. You should at least aim at 2.1 for your degree to make things easier for you in your law studies in the future. During the final year of your law degree you’ll have to start applying for legal jobs (training contractor or pupillage). If you manage to find a legal job you have greater chance to have the next courses paid for.
